A Dream Day In Central Park.....

Central park is like walking in a movie...maybe because so many of my favorite movies have been filmed there....from Enchanted to Elf to the fountain they filmed the intro to Friends in...
and in Spring time it's just incredible...come see....
(above, me and baby in her Ergo carrier)
(Alani, me and baby and Blakey)...the kids said they loved Central Park!
see what I mean, it just looks like a movie scene...look at the beautiful trees and green grass...
We went to the zoo in Central Park...and the kids favorite part was seeing the Seals!

I myself was pretty amazed at the Polar Bear.....
look at him swimming and the reflection of my chuck taylor's in the glass...hee hee
I love "the dairy"...especially since this is part of where they filmed "How Do You Know That You Love Her" in Enchanted! We saw giant bubbles being blown, stopped to dance to the music of some drumming groups...and listened to guy playing accordians and felt like I was in Amelie....and enjoyed the violinist playing by the Bethesda (AKA Friends) fountain...
this city just feels like it oozes art and creativity everywhere....I love it!
look at how beautiful the carriages are in central park....
And the beautiful, painting-like, Bethesda fountain....are you hearing the "friends" theme song in your head too...."so no one told you life was gonna be this way..ta ta ta"
Alani and Blake inspecting a drain.....sure there's a beautiful fountain but what is inside this drain....? ha ha ha ha
and still fully absorbed in the awesomeness of the drain.... fountain shmountain.... ha ha ha
I on the other hand felt like my eyes took a vacation to a far off land....I imagined I was in Europe somewhere...it's that beautiful!
Little Elyse showing off her 2 bottom teeth as she toodled around....blowing kisses at strangers...she really fancied this group of Japanese tourists that didn't speak English, but she just ket blowing kisses and they spoke excitedly to her in Japanese..."blowing kisses" needs no language- it was the language of love!
Then, to break in our already, "not-used-to-walking-so-much-west-coast" feet...we thought we'd walk to Serendipity 3 (if you haven't seen the movie Serendipity, just watch it and you'll see why I love this place!)....I've been here every time I've come to NYC!

And I am in LOVE with this painting inside Serendipity!
Yes they are home to the famous $1,000 Sundae that has 24k gold flakes on it! Who orders that?  I just wanna know!
I ordered Sand Tart...oh my deliciousness....I've tried the Sundaes, the Frozen Hot Chocolate and THIS is my favorite.....these buttery, crumbly, shortbread like cookie crust, coffee ice cream (and I know, I don't even drink coffee) and their home made hot fudge...oh my whaaaat!
Alani said...."I don't want to go home....I want to stay in New York City, more days!"
I feel the same way....

and we didn't even buy any "I heart NY" shirts...
